About Me

Hey, I’m Joe Quattrocchi, the guy behind Goaltending iQ. I’ve been a goalie pretty much my whole life — starting out in Timbits hockey here in the Ottawa Valley. The position hooked me early, and I’ve been chasing pucks ever since.

I played my minor hockey in the Valley, then moved to Ottawa and went on to play Junior A with the Smiths Falls Bears, Fort McMurray Oil Barons, and Drayton Valley Thunder. From there, I played NCAA hockey at Hamilton College. I was also lucky enough to be drafted by the Ottawa 67’s, get invited three times to the Montreal Canadiens development camp, and later had the chance to learn from some incredible NHL goalie coaches. My playing days wrapped up after an injury at a pro tryout — not the way I pictured it ending, but it opened the door to something even better.

I’ve been coaching goalies for over 10 years now, and honestly, it’s become my passion. Like every young goalie, my dream was to play in the NHL. These days, the dream is to help the next generation chase theirs — to pass on what I’ve learned, both on and off the ice.

Goaltending iQ is all about helping goalies train smarter. It’s not just about technique or drills; it’s about developing the confidence, awareness, and hockey sense that make goalies stand out. My goal is simple: help every goalie I work with understand the game, learn to read plays, and build the mental side to match their physical skills.

If you love the game and want to grow as a goalie, I’d love to be part of your journey.
